Learn the basics of tapestry weaving in this beginner weaving workshop. During this class led by @madeby_cjk you'll create your own woven wall hanging and learn:
-how to set up the warp thread on loom
-weaving stitches including rya knots, tabby weave, pile weave, and soumak weave
-how to add fringe
-how to weave with fibers of various weights and textures

You'll leave with a small wall hanging and the skills to create more on your own. Registration includes all the materials necessary to make a small wall hanging, including a loom, warp thread, yarn and dowel for hanging. Please note that weaving can be slow going. If you do not complete the project during class, you'll leave with the skills needed to finish on your own.
