Mala making is a grounding and meditative experience that allows creativity, while producing something beautiful with our hands and finding peace and balance in our lives. Whether used during meditation or worn to stay mindful of an Intention, Malas have been a Yogi’s instrument since ancient times.
Join This Is Yoga NJ & Sandra Edgecomb McCormick for a workshop including an overview of the malas structure, history and origin, significance of the number 108, meaning behind olive wood beads, and how gemstones effect the body. You will learn how to make a mala, and how to use a mala as an instrument during meditation. We will also do a short meditation & a little yoga movements!
